This album breaks conventions with most post-metal. It at once can be played next to shoegaze then breaks out into a fury of aggression and still remain catchy. For my money Rosetta are at the top of the food chain. After all the amazing albums Rosetta has, it boggles the mind that they can still innovate and surprise me. I love that I can play this next to bands as diverse as Ride, Slowdive, Joy Division, The Cure, Godflesh, and Neurosis. It's a pure delight on the ears.

The record that introduced me to the great and sweet little discography of Totem Skin. And I didn't came here for the boobs! There is something harsh and depressing about their style of playing Blackened Crust, that I can't describe. A shame they disappeared but they left us something to appreciate!
